UX-PM Level 1: Adopting UX

UX-PM 1 is part of a 3 level training program developed by the UXalliance, the world’s first network of leading UX companies, designed for digital product, marketing, and project managers, who want to understand the fundamentals of UX, adopt UX methodologies in Agile and waterfall projects and encourage a customer-centered design culture in their organizations. The course is delvired in Australia by Bayfront UX.

After this first level of training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand key UX concepts, methods, misconceptions and challenges
  • Understand the benefits of a UX approach
  • Be familiar with UX tools and methods
  • Learn methods to integrate user experience into digital projects
  • Become a UX ambassador in their organization

Who should attend?

Product owners, interactive marketing managers, project managers and IT professionals who who want to better understand UX and how to integrate UX activities into projects. No prerequisite apart from a curiosity for the subject.

Duration

2 days, 9:00-16:30 full-day sessions with a one-hour lunch break.

Certification exam

The mulitple choice certification exam takes place at the end of the second day of training.

Who’s teaching?

Ilana Kaplan and Susan Wolfe will be teaching UX-PM. Ilana leads Bayfront UX. She is a passionate UX professional who has been in the industry for over 20 years. Ilana is skilled across user centred design activities including strategy, research, design, and testing. She has taught numerous user centred design courses.

Susan has built and managed UX teams at Optimal Experience, The Hiser Group, and Tandem Computers. She has worked with numerous organisations around the globe to create design cultures and develop user-centred design strategies. Susan is passionate about teaching all aspects of UX – everything from public and customised in-house training for audiences across different levels of the organisation (across industries both in the public and private sectors), to strategy workshops for experienced professionals, to university courses and immersive training that has launched the careers of hundreds of UX professionals.

Costs

The cost for the UX-PM 1 Certification course is $1,800 ex GST. Morning and afternoon tea, and lunch are included on both days. There are also ‘Early bird’ and ‘3 for the price of 4’ tickets available. Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes it is. Please let us know before hand so that we know who to expect on the day by emailing Ilana ilana@bayfront.ux.com

Where is the venue?

The venue information will be updated closer to the event. It will be in or near the Sydney CBD. We’ll notify you if you have already registered.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel more than 7 days prior to the scheduled course date, we’ll refund you the full amount less $100 admin fee. Within 7 days, we can’t provide a refund. However, the value of your ticket is fully transferable to someone else or can be applied to another UX-PM course in the future.

Cancellation

Bayfront UX reserves the right to cancel a course up to 3 business days prior to the scheduled course date if the minimum class size of 6 participants has not been attained. A full refund will be provided.
